Concert - Davis & Haleigh and The Iron Ring
Concert - Davis & Haleigh and The Iron Ring
March 8, 2025 7:30 pm - 9:30 pm
The life and musical partners Davis Little and Haleigh Black are a violin and acoustic guitar duo from Birmingham, AL. They are known for their intimate performances and a unique sound that combines traditional Appalachian/Irish/Scottish, Jazz, Folk and World music. They've recently brought their music to the UK, Europe, and US and are now preparing for shows across the US this Fall/Winter.
The Iron Ring is Tyler St. Clare (wooden flute, vocals) and Joel Michael-Schwartz (guitar, mandolin, vocals), two classically-trained musicians with a lifelong interest in celtic music. Drawing influence from the likes of Chris Norman, Martin Hayes, and John Doyle, they are carving a small new corner of the tradition in the Mid-Atlantic region.

Shape Note Singing!
Shape Note Singing!
March 10, 2025 7:00 pm - 9:00 pm
Shape note singing is a social, community singing tradition. We sing from The Sacred Harp and The Shenandoah Harmony, music books printed with shaped note heads designed to teach vocal, sight singing. This music is characterized by open harmonies and a raw, powerful sound that is sung in unaccompanied, four-part harmony. All religious affiliations (and un-affiliations) are welcome. We sing for each other and the joy of singing. This is music for participation, rather than performance.

instruments are welcome. No prior experience in the genre is necessary. Music will be provided at the
session. Music is also available electronically in advance in PDF format. For more information, contact

Concert - Thunder and Rain
Concert - Thunder and Rain
March 23, 2025 6:00 pm - 8:00 pm
Thunder and Rain has been touring and making records since 2014.
Founding member Erinn Peet-Lukes moved from Colorado to Nashville in
2021, where she met Amelia Ransom (fiddle) and Laura Ray (banjo). The
three had immediate chemistry and began touring the northeast, southeast,
and mountain west. For live shows, they round out their sound with Andy
Brown on upright bass. Peet-Lukes has been awarded for her songwriting
several times, including Kerrville New Folk Competition (2018), Merlefest
Songwriting Competition (2021), and IBMA Songwriter Showcase (2022).
Thunder and Rain’s latest release, Storybook Sessions, marks the
beginning of a new era for this decade-long project. While the lyrics on the
record deal in dark themes—heartbreak so bad that it feels macabre,
monsters in the forest, anxieties about the end times, and murder on the
high seas—the songs are uplifted by up-tempo bluegrass drive and soaring
melodies that stick in the listener’s head.
